Our grandparents, Julian and Catherine Nicewicz, emigrated from Poland and settled in Clinton, Massachusetts. They bought this farm in Bolton in 1929 and grew apples, peaches, and pears. They also harvested wild high bush blueberries and cranberries from a 5-acre bog on the property. A small herd of cows enabled them to produce milk, cheese, and butter.

One of their sons, Walter, married Vera Vieira, from the neighboring town of Hudson. They lived at the farm and  raised one daughter, JoAnn, and four sons David, Alan, Ken, and Tom. The four of us brothers now run the farm full-time, and our mother, Vera, still manages the farmstand. Here's David at the farmstand, weighing out some apples.

We grow seventeen varieties of apples, along with peaches, pears, plums, berries, vegetables, and flowers. In September and October, you can pick your own apples! To find out how to get here, click on the Directions button. We also sell at many local farmers' markets from July through October.
